Lisseth Conza-Berman

As a Peruvian, I grew up tasting one of the world's most important cuisines. Peruvian food is a fusion cuisine, due to its long multicultural history and I am proud to represent my country's food as best as possible. I'm not a professional chef, I'm actually a software engineer, an entrepreneur and a traveler who enjoys cooking and dancing (at the same time) and would love to show you a little of my country's legacy.

Living in the US has brought also awareness of other cultures and the endless possibilities of mixes and inventions that I'm capable of doing. So I can make a Peruvian meal somehow variable depending on the ingredients that I'm able to get and also depending on the Foodie's diet. I'm very health conscious and like to sometimes change some recipes so they are tasty and healthy.

I like cooking with music so I will be bringing a portable speaker to your kitchen. Yes it will be Latin music! And will be bringing my husband Jeremiah with me, because I need a dance partner.

I'm open to teach you the recipe I'll be cooking and some Spanish words during that time :)

With any of my experiences I offer an alcoholic drink called Pisco Sour, the Peruvian emblematic cocktail.

I hope I get to meet you and have you taste some delicious Peruvian dishes.

We had such a great night with Lisseth. She came over, with her husband Jeremiah, and cooked us a delicious meal! not only did she cook, but she talked to us about the food and taught us know to make the dish, the origins of the dish, Peruvian culture, and was all around really friendly. I also loved that she brought music and played it while she cooked, it added to the authenticity of the experience. Jeremiah spent time with my sister and I explaining to us how Nichef got started, how it's different from other services, and also answered all our questions. He and Lisseth cleaned our kitchen before they left, thank you!! I've had lomo saltado in restaurants before and this was on par if not better than ordering it in restaurants. I would recommend Lisseth to anyone! It was a great meal!

What a wonderful experience we had...we learned about Peruvian culture, food and drink...and all in the comforts of our home!!! The evening started with a delicious, traditional Peruvian Pisco sour, followed by cheese-filled tequenos, then a flavorful and colorful chicken aji de gallina and ended with a sweet purple corn was an amazing experience...thank you Lisseth and Jeremiah for making our 13th anniversary one we'll remember for years to come!!!
